N.A. FerrellJim Walden is an independent candidate for Mayor of New York City. He has roughly the same chance of being elected as I do. But prospects of victory aside, I came across his campaign car, it appears to be a MINI Cooper, parked in Brooklyn Heights (where Mr. Walden reportedly lives) on Hicks Street between Montague and Clark. It was the first time I had seen a campaign car in person since stumbling upon Jimmy McMillan's campaign van in Flatbush, Brooklyn, in 2011, so I had to turn it into an article. (Do note the *interesting* license plate in the second photo.)<br> <br> Walden Article:<br> <a href="https://thenewleafjournal.com/jim-waldens-nyc-mayor-campaign-car/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://thenewleafjournal.com/jim-waldens-nyc-mayor-campaign-car/</a><br> <br> Bonus Jimmy McMillan Article:<br> <a href="https://thenewleafjournal.com/the-true-story-of-jimmy-mcmillan-and-a-too-long-line-at-dunkin-donuts/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://thenewleafjournal.com/the-true-story-of-jimmy-mcmillan-and-a-too-long-line-at-dunkin-donuts/</a><br> <br> Tags:<br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/NYC?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#NYC</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Brooklyn?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Brooklyn</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/BrooklynHeights?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#BrooklynHeights</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/PoliticalCampaign?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#PoliticalCampaign</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/CampaignCar?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#CampaignCar</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Trees?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Trees</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/JimWalden?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#JimWalden</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/GooglePixel?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#GooglePixel</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/GooglePixel6a?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#GooglePixel6a</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/GrapheneOS?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#GrapheneOS</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/NewLeafJournal?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#NewLeafJournal</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/TheNewLeafJournal?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#TheNewLeafJournal</a>

Ázzuen ben Aslan 🔜 EF<p>Hi Fedipeople, <br>I've got a question: few month ago I migrated to GrapheneOS and everything is fine so far.</p><p>Just recently I wanted to add a virtual creditcard to be used via NFC. Is there any other app for this than Google Wallet? Because, well, I managed to get Wallet installed and even started by giving a few more rights to sandboxed Play Service, but as soon as I actually wanted to add the credit card, it denied because my device (obviously) is rooted. I guess, if there is no alternative app, my two only options are to go back to stock Android (bad option!) or get a physical credit card?</p><p><a href="https://meow.social/tags/followerpower" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>followerpower</span></a> <a href="https://meow.social/tags/grapheneos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>grapheneos</span></a> <br><a href="https://meow.social/tags/unplugtrump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>unplugtrump</span></a></p>

"Fixing my Pixel 6's USB port issue with a trimmed down cocktail stick"

The title rather says it all, really.

I am pleased to have extended the useful life of my phone.

Thanks to all of you who chatted about this with me yesterday!

A poza tym muszę ręcznie zrestartować, by aktualizacja weszła.

I'm using Graphene OS on my phone. A few days ago or so I stopped hearing notification sounds. The sound is working, the notifications settings haven't changed. I noticed that when I unlock my device, it connects to the internet and I receive notifications then. It used to be that I'd still get notifications and hear the sound while the device was locked.

I don't know how to debug this, nor do I have the energy to make time to do this today. I sympathize with people wanting to go back to the stock Android ROM, but I'm not about to pawn my soul back to Google over something that probably can be fixed.
