The rhymes are pretty glaring and I'm only talking about the habeas corpus portion of things. It's interesting to note that the decree not only affected habeas corpus but eliminated postal and telecommunication privacy, restricted the right to assemble, removed the freedom of the press, and gave blanket authority for search warrants of personal property for basically any reason.
