The new options on clicking a hashtag are too much. Intrusive, blocking, extra steps.
Steps to drive hashtagging, and steps to give access to features, yes. But this is not an improvement. Maybe a way to turn it off?

In #Mastodon 4.4 they've added the horrible popup window from #Bluesky when you try to click on a #hashtag.
If I wanted to do something weird with the hashtag, I'd right click it. Now I need to make an extra click every single time I just want to view the posts. It's one of the worst features of Bluesky, and they've added it into Mastodon.
It doesn't even do anything useful like tell you if you're following the hashtag.
Every time they update the Mastodon UI they make it worse.

I dislike that when you click a hashtag, it pops up a little menu instead of taking to you the "browse posts in #hashtag" page directly. The little popup should happen when you mouse over it, and it should act like a goddamned link when you click it.
Stuff like this, and the obstinance about not giving a setting to change the 500 character limit, and even simple stuff like not being able to temporarily deactivate your account just goes to show that Team #Mastodon makes some really goofus choices sometimes, I gotta say.
