NAB 🇬🇧🇪🇺🔶:marmite:
I'm after weather station recommendations. Wind speed and direction, rain, temperature and humidity are essential and UV/light would be good. Minoru
How can humidity in the bathroom get lower than the rest of the house?

I want to automatically turn the towel dryer when it's not needed. I put a bunch of Zigbee sensors across the entire flat, and use the difference between humidity in the bathroom and the median humidity in the rest of the house. When someone showers, the difference jumps to 20% or more, triggering the automation. Once the showering is done, I can see how bathroom humidity drops while adjacent rooms get slightly more humid. But after a few hours I see that the humidity in the bathroom is 1% or 2% lower than the median.

Now, the sensors are speced to ±3%, but the effect seems pretty reproducible, so I think it's either a systematic error at some humidity levels or a real effect that I can't explain.

#HomeAutomation

Courtney Rosenthal
I got a new smart thermostat, a Venstar ColorTouch (first photo).
