We had a tense night watching #Irelandrugby squeeze out a win vs the Springboks. In the morning we saw the start of the 10k swims - 8 loops of a 1250m course. We hiked a 10km loop around Lac de Causse, via a viewpoint in the village of #Chasteaux, returning in time to see the winners finish their 2hr effort. Many competitors had been lapped & continued on past the Arrivée for additional laps - ouch!. A lovely event, very glad to have been a small part of it. #Brive #France #Openwaterswimming

I have reached the age where an 8pm kick off for a match just feels too damned late.

(It’s even ridiculous when you consider such a late kick off means you need a hotel if you’re from out if the area and good luck getting public transport afterwards. Whoever timetables these things needs to cop on)
