Dr. Mimi Syed is an American ER physician. She was the doctor who treated Medo Halimy, a young Palestinian man who had gathered a large following on social media for his "from my tent" daily video reports of his life in Gaza during the genocide.
At the time it was reported that Medo died after an Israeli airstrike put him in a coma, but Dr. Syed says he, and others who were sitting at an internet cafe, were intentionally targeted by the IDF, as they have targeted journalists and videographers.
"Medo only had 2 wounds, both to his head. I was the doctor who tried to save his life but I was unsuccessful. I believe he was shot in the head deliberately. The day he got killed many others came in at the same time with bullet wounds in their heads from an Internet cafe. It won’t bring him back but the truth needs to be told."
