I've been listening to the second half of The Rest Is Politics interview with #Kwarteng, and my take away is what TRIVIAL people everyone involved is. Kwarteng is supposed to be one of the intellects of the #Tory party, but they can none of them – not Kwarteng, not Campbell, not even Stewart – string two concepts together.

Leading: 74. Kwasi Kwarteng: Liz Truss, becoming Chancellor, and Britain on the brink (Part 2)

Kwasi #Kwarteng to stand down as Spelthorne MP

And another hopeless #toriesOut accepts the ineviteable

50 Tory MPs have so far decided not to stand at #2024GE - depriving us of many potential #portillo moments, but not I suspect all of them

Oddly, his former boss Liz #truss is not standing down - but then everything she does is odd......

The first rat of many deserting the sinking ship. Time to bring an end to the damage being done by an incompetent bunch of toffs. Time for a new beginning. Starmer doesn’t excite but anything is better than corruption and negligence. #bbc #tories #uk #politics #kwarteng to stand down as Spelthorne MP bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-surr

Suprise, suprise…even with a 18,393 majority and sitting in a constituency that has only voted Labour once in past 100 years, Kwasi #Kwarteng is standing down at next election.

But how much work has he actually done for his constituency since his mini-budget that crashed the economy and has been paid for by those with mortgages ever since?

Not much…too busy doing media appearances and landing himself greenwashing gigs with Australian iron ore companies.
