This week’s #InsertAnInvert2024 prompt is about babies & childcare so I am of course going to talk about bees! Bees, famously care for & feed their young. Most are familiar with honeybees & how honey itself is produced to feed larvae in the hive. They communicate about pollen sources through dance! A worker bee can return to the hive & through the way it aligns itself

This critter was pretty well hidden in a small pocket between the base of a swamp milkweed leaf and the stem. ID apps think its some kind of leafcutter bee, but I was unable to get a view of it that would give me more confidence in the ID.
