There’s a ‘Free Friend’s Pass’ where a friend who doesn’t own the game yet can join you, create a character, and explore the entire starting level/area. That didn't last long.</p><p>I've decided to stop playing <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/DemonsSouls" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DemonsSouls</span></a>.</p><p>Combat is great. The world is great. It looks great. But fuck, I cannot fucking stand having to trapse through 2 minutes of level just to get back to a boss fight (in which I'll likely die soon after entering the arena).</p><p>I'm very early. I've heard that frustration will only increase as I progress through the game and you know what? I don't have that sort of time.</p><p>Trying to put this frustration onto the internet is hard because you invariably get hit with the comments about 'getting gd' or some bullshit about how Fromsoft's design philosophy is unimpeachable...but nah, I just don't have the time. </p><p>So I'm going to jump off and move onto something I might actually enjoy; maybe it's time to replay <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/Sekiro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Sekiro</span></a> or give <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/LordsoftheFallen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LordsoftheFallen</span></a> (2023) another look? </p><p>Goodbye <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/ReadAlongWhilstDanPlaysDemonsSouls" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ReadAlongWhilstDanPlaysDemonsSouls</span></a>, I barely knew ya.</p>

I'm spending more time than I'd like reading negative opinions of the game on Reddit than I'd like and when I do finally go to the controller I'm putting it down almost immediately after dying.</p><p>Oh well. ohanditdidntgo<p>I've done something I usually never do (I get anxious about this stuff, which is silly I know, but I hate spinning plates, even if they are utterly trivial plates)....I'm going to start a new AAA game whilst playing a AAA game.</p><p>I'd usually finish <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/LordsOfTheFallen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LordsOfTheFallen</span></a> before starting <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/IndianaJones" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IndianaJones</span></a> but....well I've got <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/GOTY" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GOTY</span></a> lists to make and only about 2 weeks to do it.</p><p>Silly, I know, but end-of-the-year-GOTY-lists are some of my favourite bits of the videogame calendar. </p><p>So I'll hopefully be able to get through the game and decide if it makes my top 5 or not. </p><p>Sorry Lords, I guess.</p><p>Or not. Maybe I'll hate Indie and be back on Lords before Wednesday. Who could say.</p>

Initial <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/LordsOfTheFallen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LordsOfTheFallen</span></a> impressions after the first hour.</p><p>Combat feels fun. The game looks stunning and the umbral stuff really shows off well......I just wish there was less of it. </p><p>Seems interesting, and I'm looking forward to continuing through the game. </p><p>I'll be throwing the rest of my play through in the <a href="https://mstdn.games/tags/DanPlaysLordsOfTheFallen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DanPlaysLordsOfTheFallen</span></a> hashtag so feel free to mute that if it's not your thing.</p>
InfiniteHench<p>Sounds like Lords of the Fallen has had a bunch of improvements across the board to tighten up and expand the game. This was on my radar and now I’m thinking of jumping in. </p><p>30 updates overall and they’ve added a few new quests and a boss rush mode, all free.
