Few more observations between #macOSTahoe and #macOSSequoia

I was a bummed to see despite the realism of Liquid Glass, other controls have been further flattened in Tahoe. Kind of a bummer because I was loving the direction controls were going in macOS Sequoia at least. They had thin hard shadows & some level of gradients. See the screenshot, esp. the Help button & the unchecked box.

Another thing is that the window control buttons have gotten a bit larger; from 12x12pts to 14x14pts.

If you use Apple Quicklook in the Finder to review your RAW files (pressing space bar) don't upgrade to macOS 15.4! It has broke for me. Seeing other reports online as well. Just get a black window unless you resize it and then the image appears

OMG I FOUND THE MOST HILARIOUS BUG IN MACOS AND PODCASTS APP...

1. First, I should NEVER be able to make a window this narrow in macOS app. You need a min width/height set for your app. How was this overlooked? Mac is 3rd class citizen at Apple it seems.

2. If you get it at this narrow width, you can no longer get it back to normal size. It's suck.

3. Quit and relaunch you say? Nope, app crashes upon relaunching now every time. See 2nd toot for this.

Why doesn't window tiling fill the screen in #MacosSequoia 15. Turns out it is a setting!

Is it just me, or the last version(s) of Sequoia have an issue when trying to use the Open or Save dialogs that brings up the spinning wheel? I never had this on the original Sequoia 15.0… and I believe not even in 15.1. Not sure exactly about when I started seen the issue…

This happens both on an M1 Pro Macbook Pro and M2 Pro Mac Mini…

Any hints?

So this is cool in #macOSSequoia I’m on my Mac, deleting large videos from Messages via the Storage settings, and I am searching in Photos to make sure I have them there as well. If I search for “Dancing” it finds videos with dancing in them, but it also moves the playhead to where it thinks the dancing actually starts.

I keep getting failures like this when I try to run updates in the App Store. In this go-around, Linearity, Whisper Transcription, In Your Face, Excel, Just Press Record, and even Apple’s own TestFlight will not update. Any idea what it means and how to clear it?

Rebooted but no joy. Ran latest system update to 15.2 and still no joy.

This is on my new MacBook Pro with M4 Pro running the latest public macOS Sequoia 15.2.

Every time I click the Next button to go to the next track, the whole Home view flickers in Music.app.

It also randomly flickers but for sure it flickers every time I click the Next button.

@caseyliss Hi. Have you heard of this Time Machine backup failure in macOS Sequoia that has hit a number of people, including myself?

It goes like this, a backup fails with the message "Time Machine did not finish backing up because some files were unavailable. Backups will resume when your Mac is unlocked."

My Mac Studio never sleeps, and there is no screensaver password. The backup failed while I was using it, in fact. There's no "unlocking" to be done...

I started seeing this upgrading from 15.0 to 15.1.1. No backup has completed since.
