reading about business evaluation and investments, it's like they invented a new currency called billions and that's the only thing they use anymore... not sure how commoners like us are supposed to even remotely keep up with that earning our banana dollars as we do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #meh
Was there anything interesting at WWDC this year? I can’t remember anything interesting in the frameworks where I thought “got to start using that!”. I’m not counting Liquid Glass here. Did SwiftUI get anything meaningful this year?

* Dad is out of hospital and they think they have found the cause of his health issue (and they also have a treatment that seems to be working)
* Kid2 made chocolate cake and I iced it earlier, just had a piece with a cup of tea
* the house was super quiet after I finished work and so I rested for a little while and then hung out heaps of washing and made chicken soup for tea, using the leftovers from last night's roast chicken

* both clients I did work for recently are happy with the results and I'm doing up invoices for them tonight
Understanding how PreferenceManager in Android is a damn mess. There's so many ways to get one and values do not seem to be persisted properly, depending on the context, activity or phase of the moon.
I wish there was something as simple as UserDefaults in iOS for storing simple settings values. Most things in Android are just over designed and way more complex than 95% of users need them to be.
