When I think back to Midnight Caller, it is episodes like this that I remember. A grim, realistic story about a woman trying to keep drub dealers off her street. Intelligently written and littered with strong performances. Especially from 
The show is at its best when it tackles topics like this. The generic crime stories it tells can often be very good, but it always hits gold when it goes for gritty social relevance instead.
