The MAN #Polar Express, a battery-electric eTGX truck, completed a 3,400-kilometre journey from the #Arctic Circle to #Munich, using only public charging infrastructure. With an average consumption of 117 kWh per 100 km, it demonstrated a range of 400-500 km, even in winter. The tour saved up to 2.7 tonnes of CO2 compared to a diesel truck. The truck's journey, accompanied by influencers, highlighted the ease of charging using the MAN Charge&Go card and the competitiveness of electric trucks in long-distance transport. At the Allianz Arena, FC Bayern legend Giovane Élber received the truck, marking the success of MAN’s demonstration of electric transport capabilities. The MAN eTGX showed cost-effectiveness with charging costs comparable to diesel, and its modular battery options offer flexibility for various #transport needs. The tour’s social media coverage further showcased the potential for electric trucks in future long-distance operations.
