The claim was immediately picked up by The #NewYorkPost, commentator #SeanHannity & other #Trump allies. Hannity tweeted “JOB FOR DOGE: Only 6% of Federal Employees work from an Office Full-time, Some not working at All: Audit.”

The Post followed up hours later w/an editorial that derided #FederalWorkers for their “privilege” & asked, “How many does the nation actually need?” #House Speaker #MikeJohnson told reporters, “That is absurd, & it’s not something the American people will stand for.”

The #Trump admin notified 4 major #news orgs that they would have to give up their dedicated office space at the #Pentagon.

A Dept of #Defense spox said that The #NYT, #NBC News, #NPR & #Politico had to vacate their offices by Feb 14.

Murdoch’s #NewYorkPost will replace The NYT; #FarRight cable channel #OAN will be swapped in for #NBC News; #Breitbart News will be a radio outlet instead of NPR; & the news outlet #HuffPost, owned by BuzzFeed, will switch w/ Politico.

- u té události mě víc než sám případ, který se vždy může stát když někomu hrábne, mě zaujal jeho mediální obraz v podobě pokusu webu usilující o jeho factchecking. Tentokrát mi totiž, na rozsdíl od jiných celkem dobrých factcheckungů, přišel tento už nějak přehnaně zaujatý - první zveřejnění případu na X i článěk v N.Y.POST se jak to chápu odvolávají na zprávy vyšetřovatelů a dávají to, že té paní přeskočilo, do souvislosti s vítězstvím Trumpa IMHO zcela legitimně (sám bych to viděl na kombinaci politicko-ideologického názoru té paní+ výhry Trumpa + špatného vztahu s otcem + nějak její tím zaktivizované nestability).
Hádám, že kdyby to bylo naopak a otec zabil dceru po prohře Trumpa, tak by zrcadlově podobný článek o tom byl factcheckingem zhodnocen jako "v pořádku", pokud by se také odvolával na zprávy vyšetřovatelů - zpravidla přece novinářům stačí říct, z čeho vycházejí a není nutné ani možné dávat celé vyšetřovací zprávy jako přílohy.
Factchecking IMHO neoprávněně tvrdí, že to info je "zavádějící" a zbytečně namítá, že "jedinou zmínkou o volbách v roce 2024 byl článek v The Seattle Times, který široce zmiňoval „emoce“ podezřelého ohledně závodu a detail, že zločin byl spáchán v den voleb, jak poznamenal New York Post. O příběhu neinformovala mainstreamová média, pouze místní pobočky a lokální média." - to přitom je IMHO irelevantní námitka, protože to, že některá media neinformovala o s tím spojených emocích, může hovořit i v neprospěch oněch medií, které souvislost radeji promlčely. Přínosným factcheckingem by bylo asi až dokázání, že příběh nevychází z těch policejních spisů. Tvrzení factcheckerů o "zavádějícím výkladu" je IMHO samo programově bagatelizující (ten factchecking je na checkyourfact.com)

Polymarket was the source of all the breathless coverage of election prediction markets that dominated a large section of election coverage.

the #NewYorkPost editorializes the story grotesquely with with "after it predicts #Trump's win".... article is so deeply spun into pretending this is a plot against trump that i'm hesitant to even link to it but here it is. only quotes Polymarket sources.

my hunch is that there were tons of americans illegally betting on the election.
