My favorite Pinoy bekinese slang term these days is ''warla''. As in ''Kinopya ni Eric ang mga produkto ng G*******y tapos binenta niya ng mas mura, kaya winarla siya ni Iris.'' (Eric ripped off her products, so Iris fought with him - ''war''.) It was used several times in discussions this week about a rogue vendor at the Manila Pen Show.

Duterte's strong disinformation network

At least 200 different Facebook accounts and pages that publicly posted an identical message that frames any potential arrest of Duterte as "kidnapping" and "illegal detention." Most were posted within the 12-hour window between Duterte's morning arrest and his late-night flight to The Hague, while a number were posted days before and after.

Glad my husband and I managed to catch the last day of the BGC Coffee Festival last Sunday. I finally got to try Decimal's delicious coffee (they're based out of town, in Biñan, Laguna). Bonus points: got to see two of my former officemates who run the coffee shop!

Decimal is also a small library (coffee and books!), so if you happen to be in Biñan, do check them out (they're at Lot 8 Blk 1, Avida Shophouse Technopark, Brgy Biñan, Biñan City).
