Hmmm. New steelbook smell...

In fact, it's my first ever steelbook. Still not a huge fan of this being the only way to get all three specials together but it sure is a beautiful package thanks to Sophie Cowdrey’s astounding art.

So once more I've got every (existing) Doctor Who story. At least until next year.

I've written a basic introduction to Jo Grant for - very high level but it's one of our series of articles giving little introductions for the characters in Power of the Doctor that some fans might not have been familiar with yet

Blogtor WhoDoctor Who Companions Support Group: Who's Jo?The Power of the Doctor featured several former Doctor Who companions. Here's all you need to know about their old UNIT friend: Jo Grant!

Genuinely feel a bit dim for only *now* realizing that when Kate makes all her friends get to safety while she stays behind with a secret self-sacrificing plan to deal with the Cybermen *of course* Tegan can't do it and goes back for her.

Because she can't do that *again.*

Oh boy, #doctorwho

* Fave Classic Doctor: 5, Davison's stories aren't always the best, but it's *comfy*
* Fave Classic to watch: 4, tho this is weighted due to length of tenure and diversity of content
* Fave New Doctor: Capaldi. Does the 6 arc right and has the chops to pull it off.
* Fave new companion: Clara
* Fave classic companion: I can't pick rn, shortlist: Ian, Leela, Ace...
* Chibs wasn't great but it had it's moments. OMG #powerofthedoctor
* Moffat definitely is peak
