I just contributed my first review to #ProtonDB because I had to fix two minor issues, including fixing a fix of someone else (with a little help from my programmer boyfriend).

One of my 2025 new year's resolutions is trying to move away from Windows 10 for gaming (as it's supposed to lose support later this year).

So far, I'm amazed at what already works, how many games in my library, especially the ones I cherish, are already natively supported on Linux, how many games just effortlessly run on Linux without native support and how much fun it can be to fix the ones that don't and sharing your findings with the community (similar vibe as contributing to OSM).

You're facing new compromises, that's for sure, but Windows had so many compromises and we learned to sail around them. And now the compromises just stack up so much, I'd rather re-learn a few things, become more independent and help other people, with even less technical knowledge than I have, to do the same.

I'm using Linux Mint on my Desktop but it doesnt start, even with the command you provided.

Thanks for your help anyway. For the time being I will experiment and keep my eye on #protondb for any updates regarding this issue.

Thanks for that! I have about 300 more to test. So far, only Baldur's gate 3 would not run, so I need to look that up on #protondb or something.

Oh, and I think #facerig and anything like that is out for me. Those just do not work.

That one and of course BG3 are a shame because I used to like to steam.

I appreciate your response! I am loving linux so far and getting into scripting and bash more.

El KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- lo compré (y devolví) en #Epic. El lanzador, para elegir el juego y poco más, no funcionaba. Tenías que ejecutar "manualmente" cada juego. Probé uno: iniciaba pero se quedaba colgado al poco.
