Texas Senate considers whether college students without legal status in U.S. should receive financial aid

State Sen. Mayes Middleton, the Galveston Republican who authored Senate Bill 1798, says it would amend state law so that students without legal status — including Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) recipients — would also have to pay out-of-state tuition rates to attend universities or colleges in Texas.

#Citadel CEO #KenGriffin, #billionaire #Trump supporter & #megadonor to #Republicans, had some harsh words for Trump about his #TradeWar:

It’s hurting America’s standing in the world & eroding the nation’s “#brand”.

“The #UnitedStates was more than just a nation. It’s a brand. It’s a universal brand, whether it’s our culture, our financial strength, our military strength …. America rose beyond just being a country,” Griffin said.

From our magazine: Democrats’ hopes of pulling off statewide victory in #Texas have been rather thoroughly decimated over the last three cycles. But, as always, the party will start to convince itself that the next election will be different. And, of course, one can always find reason for a shred of optimism. texasobserver.org/its-a-long-w

Hey, Republicans! Especially the ones the like to keep a copy Constitution on hand. The Republican President is defying orders from the Republican-led Supreme Court and the Republican-led Congress is letting it happen. Are you OK with having a President who ignores the Supreme Court? Are you OK with Congress-critters from your party laying down on the job and refusing their sworn duty to uphold the Constitution? You, the Republicans, should be screaming about impeachment right now, because that's the Constitutional remedy for a President who doesn't follow the law.

When I shout that the attacks on #abortion are about #privacy and #HumanRights issues, this is what I’m talking about. Republican have inserted the state between people and their doctors. They have demanded that people be forced to disclose (or have improperly accessed) the most personal information, and deemed themselves empowered to decide on who receives the #healthcare they (#Republicans) decide. True #conservatives would be appalled; #fascists approve.

First, it's autism. Then it's ADHD. Then it's anxiety/depression/OCD/ bipolar/etc. Then it's literally anything and everything else.
If you're not alarmed by what RFK is doing, might I suggest READING A HISTORY BOOK?!?

Hello NH. When you elect a #Republican politician, you get crap like this.

#Restrictive NH #voting laws costs the State money, create confusion, #target #married #women and accomplish nothing, as there's never been a case where a non-citizen has voted in the State.

There have been a number of #vote #Fraud cases, and the majority of those? Committed by Republicans. Of course.

GET TO THE POLLS. VOTE THE EXTREMISTS OUT.
