Got the modded PS1 (SCPH-5501) connected to the PVM via a gwscart switch using RGB (CSYNC). The switch doesn't seem to have any issues with the signal coming in from the PS1, and the Retro Gaming Cables cable (EuroSCART -> RGB+Sync+Audio) is absolute quality. If it weren't for Silksong at the moment, I'd be jumping into some retro games.

@seabass @NanoRaptor Personally, I'm a sucker for #Pizzabox & 19" Desktop cases. when it comes to Computing.

That being said I see a missed opportunity for not installing #Uwuntu on that #WeebMachine!

Infosec.SpaceKevin Karhan :verified: (@kkarhan@infosec.space)I mean, it does work, so yay - cool €500 #Gayming #PC with extra #moe and #weeb factor! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNdNpTl2eC8

I had a lot of "fun" writing the #yaml definition for #esphome . A LOT of "fun". 🙄
Esphome isn't really meant to write complex behaviours like a #child #toy 's program. It's meant for IoT devices: lightbulbs, covers, sensors, devices with very simple behaviors. But it's very convenient as it manages on its own all the wifi stack and libraries stuff, and it provides some functionalities for free (in this case, the possibility to use the whole led strip as a single #RGB #light seamlessly integrated in #homeassistant ).
Is this an #hack ? Sure it is. But does it work? Hell, yeah! 😎

I realized that I'd need a lot of wires, gpio pins and solder joints to control 6 #rgb #leds, so I decided to use #addressable leds, so I bought a #neopixel -compatible #led #strip. I then placed them, two per compartment, and soldered them one piece after another, so they can be all controlled shifting data out of a single GPIO pin.
I also made some holes for the #speaker. Here you can see a test with the #lab bench #powersupply .

Elecrow’s Mini PC case brings a gamer aesthetic to the Raspberry Pi 5 or NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano

Elecrow has launched a Mini PC case that can house either a Raspberry Pi 5 or NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano while extending the functionality of those little PCs. It also makes them look a little bit like tiny gaming PCs thanks to the clear acrylic side panels and RGB lighting effects.

Available now from Elecrow, you can pick up a Jetson Orin Nano model for $32 or pay $40 for a model designed for […]

Had a "great" idea to use aviation grade plugs to make modular SCART cables. Different SCART heads (caps, no caps, etc) and a separate end for each console. Except that the cable is too thick and I don't have any leeway now to solder the connector and pull it over the cable. #rgb #retromodding

I've got a question for the #color experts of the fediverse.

I'm trying to figure out what happens to the #RGB values when you move the color picker horizontally in #Krita. I can see that the biggest value remains unchanged, the smallest converges to 0, but what's happening to the third channel? I've experimented a bit by setting things to max/min in the HSL/HSV spaces, but to no avail.

Any ideas or key words I can pass to the duckduck to give me a push in the right directions would be appreciated.

:boost_requested: Boosts appreciated.
