Everywhere is a sheet of ice!

Nearly broke my neck getting to a sidewalk, they were salted in #Sackville, but places people parked into the sidewalk were ice too, the Saltmobile had to drive around bumpers. #HFXTraffic
I *skated* across intersections to get to the next sidewalk. #BeCareful it *says* 4°C, but the ground and pavement is well below freezing. Little speed bumps of rain runoffs in random locations.

Extremely icey walk. Had to change routes, because only the sidewalks have salt #Sackville

Everything at the freezing mark, and the sunrise chilling it even more. At risk of being run over, I walk the shoulder of the side streets (normally) but there's no salt on secondary roads.

The #NovaScotia government, #Halifax ( #HRM ), and two private developers will build a rent-geared-to-income tiny home community in Lower #Sackville, with residents moving in the autumn of 2024.

The project will be the first community of its kind in #NS, but will also displace people who are now living in tents on the land on which the #TinyHomes will be built.
