AnonyMoose 🇨🇦
Has anyone read Dhalgren by Samuel R. Delany? Or there of his books? If not I can't recommend him enough.
I should read Dhalgren again. fantasyguide
And How!
I picked up this paperback of Samuel R. Delany’s “Nova” back in the early 2000s when I was attempting to read my way through David Pringle’s list of the 100 greatest science fiction novels (pre-1984), and I kinda want to revisit it. Despite Delany’s impeccable reputation I can’t help but picture STAR TREK Space Hippies when envisioning his cast. Frau Lindhold
Nova (1968) by Samuel R. Delany. Shame on me for discovering this stunning classic only recently. A bunch of misfits and weirdos follow a futuristic Captain Ahab on a quest for revenge which is going to lead them through the galaxy and right into an exploding sun. Immensely self-aware characters ponder on the mythical qualities of their pursuit, making this short space opera feel both like a greek epic and a great American novel.
