TIL you can mount an NFS share to a pod running in Kubernetes.

My use case for this is to have my Synology provide the backend storage, Kubernetes handles the containers, and Nextcloud is my frontend.*

As an added bonus, I can still use Finder in MacOS to get to my files, if I want to. No client required.

*Why not just use the Synology interface you might ask? Over time, Synology has reduced features on their platform. Version 7.2.2 of their Disk Station Manager killed off video station as well as HEVC support, for example.

@tonyp OK, so this I did not expect: I have put `/var/lib/docker` onto a separate disk, because I expected that to be where all data for all images would go.
But no!
immich stores photos in `/data/compose/*` for some reason.
That would explain why my first test failed after uploading a bunch of photos...
Will have to reorganise...

I'm looking for #data on #CloudStorage providers, in an effort to:
a) sort out where I put my #backups, and
b) not trawl the internet to aggregate this data myself!

I'm looking for basic info (pricing; access protocols; hosting locations; data sovereignty), and also facts about the provider such as public/private ownership, tax residency, and ultimate beneficial ownership.
