Ariadna Vigo<p>Existential questions I have: Keep using basic neovim (+ some plugins...)? Try my hand at LazyVim again (or any other neovim distro)? Use Code-OSS? (Tried it yesterday, it *is* nice, but some extensions are VSCode-exclusive or fail on Code-OSS) Use something else?</p><p>I want a text editor, but one that makes things a bit more practical than neovim + standard terminal stuff. Sometimes I do want to have access to git and GitHub or manage things in a more IDE-like way... But I also love minimalistic setups... (but I'm on GNOME 😂 after many years on sway... I'm not coherent at all, I know).</p><p>Ohno, there's no way to know what I want 😅 </p><p><a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/programming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>programming</span></a> <a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/setups" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>setups</span></a> <a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/texteditor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>texteditor</span></a></p>

Adële 🌹<p>Do you know a good CLI text editor for text writing (blog post in markdown) on Linux terminal</p><p>I like vim but I hate the cursor move when you have long lines (paragraph) on several screen lines.<br>I expect that going up with the cursor up key, I go up one screen line, but vim go up a full paragraph. It's not easy to move in your text.</p><p>What do you use ? I need something easy to use (no time to learn many keys combinations)</p><p><a href="https://social.pollux.casa/tags/cli" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cli</span></a> <a href="https://social.pollux.casa/tags/vim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vim</span></a> <a href="https://social.pollux.casa/tags/texteditor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>texteditor</span></a> <a href="https://social.pollux.casa/tags/markdown" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>markdown</span></a></p><p>edit: got a solution with vim (gj/gk mapped to cursor arrows), see in replies below</p>
