The Proclaimers of course peaked with "Sunshine On Leith"..."I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" and "I'm On My Way", plus lovely songs like the title track. But, as was my wont, I tried to keep up with them over the years.

This track, from "Restless Soul", consists of a single image, the man who's stepped over the line and broken a relationship, but...well, he just can't face the fact. Sung simply and quietly, but by the last verse they can't hold it in any longer and wail it out an octave higher. Amazing.
