I have joined #twitter in #2014. It were times of the beginning of the #russian #invasion to #Ukraine (not the full-scale one of 2022, but the actual start of the #war - the occupation of #Crimea and the launching the proxy war on #Donbas). There was quite a chaos and #Ukrainian media started to heavily rely on social media, in particular twitter, as the source of rapidly evolving (or degrading) situation. So it made sense to get the info from the first hands. I have had a few accounts in various times for various needs. In 2022 and later, it also made it contribution to the volunteer movement devoted to support of the #AFU #ArmedForcesofUkraine.

But now this time is over. I've just deactivated the last one - haven't used them for more than year actually, so it was a mere #cleanup. #TwitterExodus #FreeSocialMedia

Yes, Mastodon has replay guy / friendly fire problem. I do experience it occasionally. But in Mastodon I also experience how people honesty delighted share my crafts and give me complements about them where even in the old Twitter I've already would have received at least two queerfobic takes about some rainbow lights in the back corner of a picture. So, yes, I'm glad that I found this place.
