Personally, I'd say a jury full of people whose friends and families have been murdered for profit are exactly the right kind of jury.

You know, a jury of our peers, just like it says in the Constitution. If you have to hunt for exceptional people, whose lives are unusual, they're not our "peers."

(Above the Law) via Fark Healthcare companies have ruined so many people's lives that it is impossible to find a neutral jury for the Luigi Mangioni trial. I guess we have to let him walk then Healthcare Companies Screwed Over So Many People That It's Hard To Find Luigi Mangione A Neutral Jury - Above the Law Maybe they can find a couple of cryogenically frozen folks to thaw and make a fair jury.

Estimated out of pocket for a year of diabetes on a Tandem Mobi:

Pump Supplies: $1840 (assuming $1500 deductible)
Insulin: $420 (assuming maintaining $35/mo insulin)
CGMs: $960
Meter supplies: <$100

I take 2 additional expensive medications:
Synjardy: $480
Mounjaro: $480

Total: $4180-4280

With insurance.

I plan to take a different plan next year. Might only pull this down to around $3k. But it won't be $1k savings.

I estimated my next Tandem supply order to cost me $680. This is based on hitting my deductible and the remainder being covered 80% (yeah, the total order is a bit higher, at $800).

Just ordered my supplies and the rep confirmed the cost.

So I guess I can still math ok.

My next 2 orders should be around $160. Unless, somehow, I hit my max out of pocket. Which I'm past half way on.

Note: This does not include insulin nor CGMs.
