Bus Éireann and the National #Transport Authority (NTA) have extended the Independent Travel Support (ITS) service to #Limerick. This service, which helps passengers aged 18 and over with additional needs travel independently on the Transport for #Ireland (TFI) network, has been available in #Dublin since 2008, with extensions to #Cork, #Waterford, #Galway, and now Limerick. ITS assistants travel with passengers to train them until they are confident to travel alone. The service, free of charge, operates Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The expansion to Limerick is part of a wider effort to make public transport more accessible, empowering users to regain confidence and independence. The NTA and Bus Éireann aim to continue growing this essential service, contributing to a fully accessible transport system in Ireland.

The first unveiling of the Irish Tricolour by Thomas Francis Meagher at 33 the Mall in Waterford city took place on 7th March 1848. Meagher was an Irish nationalist and leader of the Young Irelanders in the Rebellion of 1848. It was not until the Easter Rising of 1916, when it was raised above Dublin's General Post Office by Gearóid O'Sullivan, that the tricolour came to be regarded as the national flag.
