I just saw a fat yellow butt crawl into the window frame, where I spied a little pile of "sawdust."
When I lived in Frankfurt, I had a pet Carpenter Bee living in/on my loggia, too, who I named Olivia.

Okay I have a #Bee #apiary #beesOfMastodon question that relates to #CatsOfMastodon because of our orange menace, Winston.
We have an occasional bee show up in the morning on our patio. It is cold so the bees are slow and on the ground.
Winston seems to have bee radar and will sprint out there from another part of the house for a spicy sky raisin snack. Winston is also allergic to bees and went to the emergency vet last week after eating one.
How can we keep the bees away?
It's breezy today but I'm pleased to note around 12-15 #bees on this #wildflower plot this morning
This is such a difference from 4 mornings ago when there were none (when I came back at lunch to make the first video)
It's fascinating to see the steady increase in bees and other insects
