The local bookstore had a HUGE line at the checkout.

The grocery store was busy, but everyone was being nice to the workers.

The cats are curled up by the fireplace, like I am about to be.

We made it, #FediFam, hope you get a moment to rest and breathe and care for yourself.

All of the mail has been mailed, the cookies are baked, the food shopping is done, and I just need one more trip to the bookstore to be FINISHED.

We got our White Thanksgiving up in the mountains, sort of, and it looks pretty. Hope everyone has a peaceful and happy evening, and if you celebrate, a moment to reflect on all the things and people there are to be thankful for in this crazy yet beautiful world.

The consensus of the cafe car on today's westbound "Lake Shore Limited" is that Drake Maye is the real deal but Jerod Mayo is not, travel on Thanksgiving is going to suck because of the rain, we're lucky the Butternut Fire did not actually destroy Butternut, the Democrats have no credibility because they make nice with Republicans, and pretzel buns are superior to multigrain.

Pittsfield is next in about 35 minutes.
