Update: domain unsuspended!
Porkbun took a dim view of the outcome apparently; overnight they went into bat for me while I slept and have now sorted it with XYZ! I have updated them with the responses from Spamhaus and are going to follow up on that as well. Honestly I am super impressed with Porkbun after this. Faith in (some of) humanity restored. Especially their staff member Steve.TLDR: Be wary using XYZ owned domains
What a fucking debacle. I purchased a cheap .quest domain to run my xmpp server on for my family and a few close friends. It was on sale, was cheap and I grabbed it.How efficient and useful are DNS block lists? I've done it for years but recently found this really cool database and effort providing massive lists, and multiple usecases that ultimately do the same thing. Whether computer, or network wide. There's a few different options.
Here's the page. Totally worth it.

That's a well-known nazi instsnce.
Perhaps the admins of sfba.social might consider using a curated #blocklist, like #GardenFence

Once @MastodonEngineering / #Mastodon devs actually care and implement #blocklist #feed support, it should automagically update those...
Folks who want to hold off the escalating enshitification of Roku and keep their home screen working as originally intended, i.e. a place from which to launch apps to stream video, you should block
cloudservices.roku.com
in addition to using the Smart-TV Blocklist at
https://perflyst.github.io/PiHoleBlocklist/SmartTV.txt
for various "smart TV" platforms and streaming services (not specifically Roku).

Hey everybody! New spambot instance just dropped for your blocklists:
social.freysa.ai
Spamming hashtags with vaguely relevant posts that don't say much. From the few accounts I examined, it seems like they're gearing up to push crypto-based, get-rich-quick scams.
Also, the sudden massive volume of "Give me 500 social media posts about how cool citizen science is, in a friendly, positive tone" prompts, from random brand-new accounts all blasting out at the exact same time, is a bit of a giveaway.
Alright I've added the #gardenfence #blocklist to my personal server instance. Can't have my personal toys used to spread nastiness.

Even though the "Hey, spammer! Here's a list for you!" article https://nxdomain.no/~peter/hey_spammer_heres_a_list_for_you.html was only posted in July of that year, I'm fairly confident that today is very close to the 18th birthday of the #greytrapping based #blocklist I host at https://nxdomain.no/~peter/traplist.shtml. Perhaps a restrospective of the "has it been worth the effort?" kind is in order soonish.
