Darren<p>Sunrise | Solstice </p><p>On top of the hills on the right of the picture are the Carrowkeel Neolithic tombs. Older than the pyramids, some of the passage graves illuminate at the summer solstice, unlike Newgrange which is aligned to the winter solstice. I love the fact that 5000+ years ago our ancestors were so attuned to the turning of the cycle of the year.
