If there are any OpenStreetMap contributors reading, I have an important correction that needs to be made regarding Spokane, Washington:

I used to live on the South Hill, and could walk to Moran Prairie Elementary School within 10 minutes. It was located at the base of the hill (the street I used to live on is highlighted in orange) However, on OpenStreetMap, it is showing Chase Middle School, which is much further away. I don't know how to edit OpenStreetMap, but there is an important correction that needs to be made here.

I have noted this error to be visible for over 2 months without any attempts to fix it.

In preparation for Family D&D Night (and with thanks to my earlier guide to splicing maps together!), I've finally completed an expanded "overworld" map for our game world. So far, the kids have mostly hung around on the North coast of the Central Sea, but they're picked up a hook that may take them all the way across to the other side... and beyond?

Banana for scale.

(If your GMing for kids, you probably already know this, but "feelies" go a long way. All the maps. All the scrolls. Maybe even some props. Go all in. They love it.)

Radio Free Asia: Beijing, Manila at odds over Google Maps update on South China Sea. “A recent update to Google Maps now prominently displays the label ‘West Philippine Sea’ over waters west of the Philippines, fueling discussion about a longstanding territorial dispute with China, which continues to refer to the area as the South China Sea.”

Beside the need for 'good' Elvish Fonts, an Atlas of Middle-earth is also urgently needed but that will demand a lot of explanation.

Tolkien did a lot of maps but none were 'scientific' and if he often cared about details, the 'bigger picture' was much less important.

He did only 1 map of the island of Númenor. And (on purpose) Tolkien never set it on a large map with Middle-earth. So we do not know were Númenor was precisely.
