Cyber-Defence Campus<p>🔒 Encryption Monday 🔒<br> <br>Weyde Lin, Senior Consultant at Eraneos Switzerland, is an author of our study on Trends in Data Protection and Encryption<br>Technologies. In his chapter about <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/5G" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>5G</span></a> he covers the latest developments in broadband cellular networks.<br> <br>📶 The number of mobile devices connected to a cellular network is constantly increasing. Simultaneously they require higher capacity and throughput.<br> <br>📱 5G is the latest technology standard for cellular networks, created to meet the growing demand for higher capacity and faster data transfer in mobile devices. This need is driven by new applications, use cases, and lower latency requirements.<br> <br>🔐 Securing 5G networks is crucial for its success, especially for business users. The standard was specifically designed to address the security shortcomings of previous network standards.<br> <br>🔜 Stay tuned for next week's encryption technology.<br> <br><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/EncryptionMonday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EncryptionMonday</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/5G" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>5G</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/CellularNetwork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CellularNetwork</span></a>, <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/5thGeneration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>5thGeneration</span></a>, <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/5GNetwork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>5GNetwork</span></a></p>

Barb Elliott :TheCDN2:<p>TIL, while travelling in the USA from Canada, that you can get better cellular service while Roaming when you go to Settings&gt;Cellular&gt;Network Selection and turn off Automatic and instead try different networks for better service. Game changer. Sigh. Verizon and T-Mobile for the win, not AT&amp;T. </p><p><a href="https://thecanadian.social/tags/USA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USA</span></a> <a href="https://thecanadian.social/tags/Canada" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Canada</span></a> <a href="https://thecanadian.social/tags/Cellular" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Cellular</span></a> <a href="https://thecanadian.social/tags/Roaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Roaming</span></a> <a href="https://thecanadian.social/tags/cellularnetwork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cellularnetwork</span></a> <a href="https://thecanadian.social/tags/verizon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>verizon</span></a> <a href="https://thecanadian.social/tags/tmobile" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tmobile</span></a> <a href="https://thecanadian.social/tags/att" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>att</span></a> <a href="https://thecanadian.social/tags/TIL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TIL</span></a></p>
