It’s been one of those weeks, including a thread of #IT #cluelessness and tomfoolery. Sure, reduce the rate limit for all #API users to one call every five minutes, because you have some unapproved bad actors executing a #DDoS. You know you can rate limit by user, but why bother?
I did eventually remind them they re-enabled any random user to create their own API #token. They seemed honestly surprised. Which made it all the more sad. Emperor, please put your clothes back on.
It's more than 2 months until the election and the Dear Leader is already stooping to this.
The Republicans have no clue as to how to fight the Dems this time around.

This is not something specific to people in tech. It's a problem that occurs everywhere all the time. Budgets and schedules are made by people who wildly underestimate the expertise and effort that *other* people need to apply to get the job done.
And thus overruns and failures ensue.
This should work out well for the Dear Leader, right?
