I'm not a runner, I'm pretending to be a runner,
or, I just happen to have tripped and fallen into my running shoes and am moving at a brisker than walking pace sometimes,
or, I'm just keeping up with this other person and we happen to sync our phones to play the same thing which tells us to do some running.
What I'm trying to get at, is, its only 1°C outside and I'm going to have to go out but not get wrapped up in my big coat, two neck warmers, wooly hat and gloves, because even though I'm not a runner, sometimes I go running.

New Blog Post on my personal site:-
"Yet another white 40 year old tech company director with no medical experience praises high tech solution to health issues he brought upon himself"
I'm quite proud of that title.
Week 9 Run 3 Done
Couch to 5k Done
Feeling a bit emotional about it going from being unable to run 1 minute to running 30 minutes non stop.
Will highly, highly recommend it.
Week 9 Run 2 done
Missed the parkrun yesterday as didn't sleep at all well. Sounded like chaos both my local ones. Good to get back out there.
One more to go. Feeling quite emotional about it all
Week 9 Run 1 done
After my tight calf I did some Zone 2 running. Probably why I am smiling at the end.
2 more to the Couch 2 5k program to go
me & bee went for another run by the river today #couchto5k
we made good time and didn’t mistake any running intervals for permission to chase smaller dogs!
Week 8 Run 1 done
I doubted myself with my run today, and had a couple of minor setbacks recently.
Happy with today
Couch to 5k update
Week 5 run 3 done.
If you have ever done couch to 5k this is a 20 minute run. My fat arse just ran 20 minutes. My christ.
Also set my fastest mile and fastest 1km
Doing #Couchto5k and on the dreaded Week 5.
Run 2 was - surprisingly good?
Longest I've ran and I even managed to sprint at the end.
(Also dropped 2kg in my latest weigh in)
Good to see and hear my old running coach* Michael Johnson on the BBC's Athletics coverage.
Managed another three miles on the road to recovery this morning, but the real story was Mrs Kneale completing the dreaded twenty minutes of continuous running that comes at the end of Week 5 of Couch to 5K.
I remember how daunting it seems, but she did it!
I’ve decided to start my running journey. There’s so many benefits to running and I want to do better about making my health a priority.
I’m going to give the C25K app a try. We’ll see how it goes! Any running advice for a newbie?
Went for another recovery stroll yesterday and accompanied Mrs Kneale, currently on Week 3 of her Couch to 5K challenge.
Brought back a lot of old memories!

Demain, début des choses sérieuses dans le programme #CouchTo5K. J’ai préparé mon sac de sport à l’avance pour ne pas me débiner.
Just finished running my Week 1 Day 2 of #C25K with @c25kfree #everymomentcounts #run #running #health #fitness #couchto5k
I started running a few years ago the same way many start these days, with the Couch to 5K program.
Today is the day that Mrs Kneale followed my lead and did the same!
