Stanage Edge is a ridge of gritstone outcrop in the #Derbyshire #PeakDistrict beloved of climbers, stretching for about 4 miles altogether. This walk along most of it gives spectacular views of the Hope and Edale Valleys. Details at https://happyhiker.co.uk/MyWalks/PeakDistrict/StannageEdge/Hiking%20Pages%20-%20Stannage%20Edge.htm
Another favourite image from my 30+ year photographic career: climber on Tody’s Wall (Hard Severe), Froggatt Edge, Derbyshire. Strange I can remember the name of the route but not the person.

Bakewell is a charming market town in the Derbyshire Dales, England. It’s famous for its Bakewell Pudding, a sweet almond and jam pastry that originated there. The town sits along the River Wye and is known for its beautiful scenery, historic architecture, and proximity to the Peak District National Park.
Bakewell Pudding – Often confused with Bakewell Tart, was supposedly created by accident in the 19th century.

The bedroom window of an abandoned farm in the Peak District, England. Always wanted to revisit, but I never managed to find it again...

Who knew? Buxton Open Air Rock Festival 1972 — 1974
Pleased (and not surprised) to see John Barnatt was right about this #Derbyshire stone, we've had a page for it for some years, well done Time Team! Not so keen on the 75 strong holiday cabin development, car park etc planned for Farley moor. More...
