@dangillmor I agree with Senator Malhuret's analysis. These dictatorships and democracy are not agreeable to one another. Being more prepared to use #nuclearweapons though is not the answer. More emphasis needs to be placed on #disarmament and defence. Unfortunately this position is no longer as fully supported by the most powerful nations. Peace and security hang in the balance.

There was a time when we were talking about nuclear disarmament. That was the first Cold War.

We are now living in the Cold War 2.0 in a much more interconnected and globalized world, be it from commerce to the flow of information.

And now #AI is becoming another wildcard. If we want to talk about peace in the future, we will have to talk about AI disarmament and regulation.

This will prove incredibly difficult, especially because the private sector is also very invested into AI.
