I would submit that it depends on the use case.
For example duckduckgo https://ddg.gg has LLMs that are grand at spouting out a terminal command, with explanations, for whatever you've forgotten how to do on whichever Linux distro you've forgotten how to use. I mean, if adequate is all one cares for, superlative doesn't really add much, I would say.
