I silently think on the lives that have been lost to hate, and I wonder how many more will be lost this year.

Today, on #TDOR, I consider my time on this earth. I consider how i've gone from being a young trans woman to what, in effect, is an #elder in the community.

I see the fucking hate growing against us. I see the vitriol. I see the calculated attempts at trying to silence us, to lead us to death, to unalive us.

I... we... together.... are stronger than their hate. We are stronger together than every passage of their 'sacred’ scripture, twisted and petrified to erase us while at the same time loud in its absence whenever they are accused of violence against others, of cheating, of stealing, and of violating another.

It is okay to not be okay today. It is okay to weep. It is okay to need to be carried, to collapse at the side of the road.

We will carry you. We will be here.
