Every person who wants to lead their people out of the DataFarms knows what matters to their community, and what pain points or new possibilities might motivate them to shift to community-controlled tech. We know which services are needed, and what apps will appeal. We know how to support transition.

#JDVance also decried the mass migration into #Germany & #Europe in 2015, tying it to #terrorist crimes, including a car attack in Munich on Thursday by an Afghan #asylum seeker, which injured 30 people.

“Over the span of a decade, we saw the horrors wrought by these decisions yesterday in this very city,” he said.

Those parties include the Alternative for Germany, or #AfD, parts of which have been classified as #extremist by German #intelligence.

All other parties in #Germany refuse to join with the AfD in forming governments, an effort known as a “firewall” against #extremism in a country where memories of the #Nazis still dominate its political culture.

Those failures, #JDVance said, included efforts to restrict #misinformation & other content on #socialmedia & laws against #abortion protests that he said unfairly silenced #Christians.
Perhaps most strikingly, the VP called on Europe to drop their opposition to working w/anti-#immigration parties, calling them a legitimate expression of the will of voters angered by high levels of migration over the last decade.

An audience that was largely expecting #JDVance to lay out the #Trump admin’s priorities for the trans-Atlantic #alliance, #NATO military spending & negotiations w/Russia over ending the war in #Ukraine, instead received a lecture on what Vance described as the continent’s own failures in living up to democratic ideals.

“Since court rulings are not laws & only legislatures elected by the people may pass laws, #Obergefell is an illegitimate overreach,” the resolution reads. It continues: “The Idaho Legislature calls upon the Supreme Court of the United States to reverse Obergefell & restore the *natural* definition of #marriage, a union of one man & one woman” [tell that to the Mormons]

That has not deterred lawmakers in #Idaho, however. This week, a State House cmte overwhelmingly passed a resolution calling on #SCOTUS to undo #ObergefellVHodges, the landmark 2015 decision that gave same-sex couples the right to marry….

The resolution would still need approval by the full House & the ID Senate before any request could be sent to #SCOTUS. Both chambers in ID are controlled by #Republicans.

In total, #Trump pardoned 23 anti-#abortion activists, including those #convicted of blockading a reproductive health clinic & intimidating staff & patients.

FreeBSD is relatively amazing, and much lighter and more open. The people aren't scumbags or abusers. Best of all, it's not full of GNU shit, /bin/true has no --help or --version flags, etc.
