Earlier, a bunch of my fishing line all of a sudden got super tangled and tied together, making me resort to cutting the line and more or less set up the rod again. I am not proud to say I was freaking out initially, saying fuck in a panicked and frustrated tone repeatedly. But after quite some time being forced to calm down while waiting for promised salvation from nearby fishers that never came (), I was able to figure it out and get it set back up.

1: Take the line from the spool (with the bail open) and pull it through the guides.

2: Tie a hook or other terminal tackle on the end of the length of line that made it through the guides

3: Pull line taut

4: While it is taut, lead the line onto the line leader then close bail.

5: Reel in line until the hook makes it to the tip.
