Nothing new here but I did refill several pens I cleaned yesterday. The CH912 was nearly empty, the Majohns were dry.

The 912 had Kon-peki (and Asa-gao before that), figured it was time for something lighter.

I put the Private Reserve ink in the A2 because I remember not liking it but I don't remember why, so I wanted to give it another chance. It already burped once but that could be the pen, not the ink.

Long overdue #SwatchWednesday today! We've got swatches from the @cultpens Ink Subscription boxes from April (Green) & May (Purple), along with bottles of Diamine Forever Ink Smoky Mauve, Esterbrook × TheCoffeeMonsterzCo Forgotten Iced Coffee, & Sailor Dipton Ripe Fig (mainly to get the sparkly Hocoro body to complete the collection).

My favourites are Sea Glass, Smoky Mauve, Forgotten Iced Coffee, Dawn, & Árvácska.

All swatches have been scanned & uploaded to my swatch site.

Dominant Industry #fountainpeninks are sensational. Leaf Green is probably my favourite green ink. This is Natural Green, one of their pearl inks. It’s shimmering blue in today’s light. It might be vibrant green tomorrow…

Platinum Classic Ink collection complete. It’s a lovely sight. While they all work beautifully in #FountainPens, I’m going to use them exclusively with #dipPens. They’re perfect. Especially with the fine, super-flexible nibs. Citrus is absolutely my favourite followed by Cassis I think.

I’ve prepared amaranth as part of this evening’s supper. Now I’m in the study messing around with pens while also trying to fix a #fuzzpedal… Honestly, my talents know no bounds I thought my Lamy was a Safari. It’s actually an AL-Star.

I’ve had a rather disappointing new notebook day… A CAEK Mate. I used the spectacular shader that is Diamine Prussian Blue in a medium nibbed Eco. It’s a great combination when testing new paper. It was terrible. The ink feathered and there’s absolutely no shading. I switched to the fine nibbed X159 with Ancient Copper, another great shader. No feathering this time, but again no shading. So to summarise, a great notebook for those who prefer <F nibs and flat, lifeless ink

#SwatchWednesday Just 2 inks this week, but they're bangers. Yuki-Usagi & Tsurubami from Sailor's Shikiori range. Yuki-Usagi is my favourite so far & may well end up in my favourite inks of the year.

Both of these inks have proven almost impossible to get the colour fully accurate on screen. The scans on my swatch site are closer, but even they're not quite there.

Left work early. I’ve spent the last two hours in my favourite place. Writing to empty my head. To bring everything back into perspective. Sometimes, only green will do…

Wearinguel doesn’t make shimmering ink. It makes glistening ink It’s over 18 quid a pop in the UK, so I don’t buy it as often as I’d like… This is Flowing Leaves. Paper is Clairefontaine 90gsm.

Working with a semi-flexible nib today. No idea what it is sadly. It’s likely a Gillott of some sort. I should really keep track of these things The first ink needs no introduction. If there’s a single person in the @penfount community who doesn’t have it, then colour me flabbergasted. The second is Platinum Lavender Black. Unfortunately, the weather’s super-shitty today so the light’s changing by the second…

I’m not the biggest fan of grey #fountainpeninks, but doing some drawing stuff for a friend and need to break out the Earl Grey. Taking it for a test ride first in the Shibui North Tarot Ranger with medium #6 bock nib. I only have two metal bodied #fountainpens. I find them a little unwieldy. However, Ruth’s pens are irresistible… She’s doing a collaboration with Onoto. Just saying
