Chris Carlier | Short Songs<p>22 years already since I released my first album of weird, dark, experimental <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/electronicmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>electronicmusic</span></a> under the name 'cloudy, with occasional rain'. Made using a "borrowed" copy of <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/fruityloops" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fruityloops</span></a>, a very cheap computer mic, and featuring some questionable guitar work.</p><p>But this was a fun one. No real idea what I was doing. I'd set out to do an <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/industrialmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>industrialmusic</span></a> project a la <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/skinnypuppy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>skinnypuppy</span></a>, <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/feindflug" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>feindflug</span></a>, etc. But ended up with something very unlike that.</p><p>Anyway, it's free on <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/mirlo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mirlo</span></a>: <br><a href="https://mirlo.space/cloudy/release/lucky" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">mirlo.space/cloudy/release/luc</span><span class="invisible">ky</span></a></p>
Chris Carlier | Short Songs<p>My last 'proper' album as cloudy with occasional rain was released on this day, 17 years ago.</p><p>This was a collection of sometimes playful, sometimes obnoxious, always kinda weird <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/electronicmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>electronicmusic</span></a> .</p><p>It's free on <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/mirlo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mirlo</span></a> . Have a listen.</p><p><a href="https://musicians.today/tags/freemusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>freemusic</span></a> <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/experimentalmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>experimentalmusic</span></a> <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/fruityloops" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fruityloops</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://mirlo.space/cloudy/release/refractory-accedence" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">mirlo.space/cloudy/release/ref</span><span class="invisible">ractory-accedence</span></a></p>
OtterForce<p>Y'all... Youngest made a thing.</p><p>He generated all but the drum samples, arranged the music in <a href="https://zirk.us/tags/FruityLoops" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FruityLoops</span></a>, recorded the gameplay loop using OBS, composited the video and did post-production in DaVinci Resolve, created the various visual assets in Paint 3D, and rendered it all himself.</p><p><a href="https://zirk.us/tags/Art" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Art</span></a> matters, <a href="https://zirk.us/tags/creativity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>creativity</span></a> matters, and <a href="https://zirk.us/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> matters. protmanwich.exe<p>PSA for music makers on mastodon :] be sure to hashtag your apps like <a href="https://mas.to/tags/renoise" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>renoise</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/ableton" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ableton</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/puredata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>puredata</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/fruityloops" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fruityloops</span></a> etc, otherwise we can't find you!</p>

IronChefOfMusic<p>in <a href="https://ravenation.club/tags/IronChefOfMusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IronChefOfMusic</span></a>, time is of the essence, so why not save time by developing a <a href="https://ravenation.club/tags/renoise" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>renoise</span></a> <a href="https://ravenation.club/tags/lua" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lua</span></a> tool that emulates the <a href="https://ravenation.club/tags/fruityloops" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fruityloops</span></a> <a href="https://ravenation.club/tags/youwashock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>youwashock</span></a> <a href="https://ravenation.club/tags/soundgoodizer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>soundgoodizer</span></a> mastering multiband limiter with one click rather than wasting 15min building it from scratch? WHY NOT?!</p>
