Yesterday was my granddaughter’s 9th birthday. At my husband’s insistence, we bought a #globe as her gift. What a success—she immediately located #NJ and then spent quite a while identifying places that she, her family, and everyone else she knows have been. So important to help #kids understand the #interconnectedness of everyone on this #BigBlueMarble.

#EmilyPike from the San Carlos #Apache tribe was murdered. She was only 14. The young girl was reported missing on Jan 27, 2025. Her dismembered remains were discovered on Feb 14, 2025 off Highway 60 near #Globe , Arizona.

My heart goes out to Emily’s loved ones - her mother, family and friends. No one should ever loose their child this way.

Warum habe ich das nicht schon viele Jahre vorher umgesetzt?

Den unansehnlichen, schwarzen Deckenmotor habe ich einfach mit einer #Salat|schüssel aus #Edelstahl überbaut.

Ein Disco Spiegelglobus mit sehr kleinen Spiegeln wird von 3 Spots mit weißem Licht an einer dunklen Holzdecke hängend angestrahlt und wirft hunderte Lichtpunkte an Wände, Decke, Schallplattenregal, Lautsprecher im Hintergrund. Auf dem Globus steht vor der Sicherungsöse eine Sammelfigur von Peppermint Patty
