UPDATE: I have a recipe for a homemade, nontoxic spray that might help (it works for Elizabeth's veg garden, so fingers crossed):

1/4 cup baking soda, 1 gallon water, 1 spoon of either Dawn [dish soap] or cooking oil.

Darren provided some chemistry info, so I understand how the ingredients work. It might not help this year, but it's worth a try.

I've attached two additional photos just for fun. The ginger cat is my beloved boy who I lost in 2020. The tabby on the windowsill with the giant pile of grapes (taken in 2012) is my tabby boy's mum, who I lost in 2018.

Thanks again to Darren and Elizabeth for the help, and many thanks to everyone who boosted!

Question for #grape growers: My Niagara has black rot (wah!). I obviously didn't manage to get everything cleaned up last season, so it's back.

I'm going to prune some now to help air circulation, but the vine is inside the compound where the cat and I hang out, so I don't want to even try a commercial fungicide.

Anyone have success with something like apple cider vinegar or soap for a homemade spray? The fruit isn't very big yet, but from what I've read it looks like it's too late for this season.

Anyone have firsthand experience with this? Thanks in advance!
