After recovering from medical stuff, I now (this friday) made the call to make sure I was active on the list to get a guide dog.
I was told I was, and was actually, more or less, always mentioned when they had a new dog, to see if I would be a good fit or not.
Finally things seems to be aligned, I have my ducks in a row, and I'm ready for this!!!

(yay combination of being a city dweller and a first time guide dog handler, made it more difficult to find the perfect match, they said).

I hope I get the call soon.
I mean lol, the sleep problems because of nervousness has already started.

Vähän matkan päästä tutusta kakkapaikasta Miinala ja Siri kohtasivat torstaina äkeän rouvan. Oman koiransa kanssa liikkeellä ollut rouva alkoi Miinalan mukaan huutaa Miinalalle siitä, että tämä ei ollut kerännyt koiransa jätöksiä maasta.

Miinala kertoo yrittäneensä kertoa naiselle ystävällisesti, että opaskoirilla ja niiden käyttäjillä ovat tavallista laajemmat oikeudet. Tähän nainen oli Miinalan mukaan todennut, että ”ei varmaan ole”.

Hey @eldavey where did you get yours for Tiarnan? @Pawpower Hey #ServiceDog and #GuideDog folks, Does anyone have suggestions for where to buy a vest-style nylon harness? I need a momentum handle attached at the shoulders and a counterbalance handle over the shoulders. The person who made my other harnesses can't really do it. I would just reuse an old harness but my current trainee is 100 lbs and none of my equipment for 50-70 lb dogs fits her properly. TIA for any help or suggestions.

Haluaisin juuri sellaisen kuljetusrobotin, joka toimii kauppakassin lisäksi myös opaskoirana ja osaa täydellisesti navigoida mut sinne minne ikinä haluan mennä riippumatta paikasta ja ajasta. Näille olisi käyttöä.

Llevamos varios días con alertas climatológicas severas por bajas temperaturas, y para ser Irlanda lo son. No subimos de 3 o 4 grados y las mínimas son de 0 o bajo 0. Y peor aún la sensación térmica.
