Feoh<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://wandering.shop/@offby1" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>offby1</span></a></span> I feel this!</p><p>I JUST added the code to let the botkube app I'm deploying to our k8s cluster store static secrets in Vault, and just the UNDERPINNINGS added 200 lines of code! That's not even including the necessary hooks and the code (admittedly not much more) to actually insert the secrets into the Helm chart in the right place.</p><p>Hashicorp's tools have always IMO struggled with documentation as their achilles heel, even Vagrant only got REALLY good docs once adoption started to die down because other tools filled those roles better or more easily.</p><p><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Vault" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Vault</span></a> is still IMO one of the best choices out there for self hosted secrets management, it does this <em>well</em> and <em>right</em> which is not an easy thing, but the learning curve is non trivial and <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/hashicorp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hashicorp</span></a> could help a lot more.</p>

We do that already.
