The Dutch government has a nice app to create secure copies of ids (ID card and passports).

government.nl/topics/identity-

Is there a Swiss equivalent of this app? It would help prevent identity fraud.

Sure, I can obscure unwanted data myself and create a watermark over it, but an official app would make it easier and would send a message from the government they take it seriously.

www.government.nlHow do I make a secure copy of my ID using the KopieID app?The KopieID app allows you to make a secure copy of your identification documents (ID) using your mobile phone or tablet.

We are on to day 3 of the #IMMEM conference in Porto after some great talks and the first poster session featuring the research that's being done by our community! Today we'll be covering environmental surveillance for #ID and #AMR and how best to share pathogen data. #IDsky #clinmicro

Insect #ID request: What's this species? Or even type of insect? #Entomology

Found in Hilversum, The Netherlands.

I initially thought damselfly but it's very chonky and short. Yet its wings went over its back. So maybe it's something else entirely? 🤷🏼‍♀️🧐

Hi, #car and #sportscar and #supercar knowledgeable people. Anyone know which #Lamborghini this is? It's pure idle curiosity. It was parked in approximately the most run-down strip mall in a small, rural NY town.

EDIT: Thanks to @guigsy for IDing this as a Gallardo. Apparently, though these sold for up to $300K new, you can sometimes get them used for as low as $70K, now. The Chevy Silverado next to the car seems to start at $50K and go up from there, depending on options.

So... bizzarely... this ID request ended up with me understanding that if you have $75K or so to spend on a vehicle, you could either get a top-of-the-line Chevy Silverado or a used Lamborghini.

huh.

@simon Something I appreciate about <details> is that links to anchors inside the details browsers will auto-expand the details (no JS needed). That’s not exactly what you were going for in the script you added, but maybe a neat tip for organization of other documents as not everyone thinks to put an #id inside a details tag. (I’ve seen it put to some good usage for FAQs pages.)

@servelan

Ironically, Nepal provides proof to my point — people do not need to comply with laws outside their jurisdiction — not even blocking.

If some random nation wants to go to the trouble — that is on them.

It is unfortunate, that Nepal has done this. But if this were your personal site, at least the burden was not on you.

PAKKETMUUR

.... Want toen kwam het: Scan uw PostNL-ID.
Pardon? PostNL-ID? Sinds wanneer moet ik mezelf legitimeren voor het inleveren van een doos? Twee opties: “Wat is een PostNL-ID” of “Ik heb een PostNL-ID”. Mijn hoofd schreeuwde: “Wat de F…?” .....

That is, if the page has a hash like #id, Firefox knows the target element onDomContentLoaded, but Chrome and Safari don't.

Annoying. There goes my nice simple idea for hawking more conference tickets.
