An addendum to the short video I just posted about how banning porn is not going to normalize nonsexual nudity, about why I then get so angry that I'm forced to use porn sites just to have my heinous female nipples visible.

porn is the solution, not the problem. If nonsexual nudity (or even just female nipples) were allowed to exist ALONGSIDE porn, it would just demonstrate the difference between the two that much more clearly.

Sorry to be a broken record about this, but #gender based #censorship makes NO SENSE (except "because #patriarchy"). It doesn't happen often, but what keeps me going in my seemingly-fruitless endeavor to raise awareness about and hopefully change the bs status quo of "female - looking nipples" getting banned online and in public as "sexually explicit nudity" but not "male-looking nipples" is when someone comments to me "you know, I never really thought about topless inequality before, but now that you've pointed it out, you're right--it IS sexist and doesn't make sense!"
Keine Erklärung, kein Coming-Out, auch keine weiterführende Intimität.
This isn't about protecting women. It's about distraction.
Councillor Áine Groogan calls it like it is:
The UK Supreme Court ruling is being twisted to fuel a culture war and scapegoat trans people — instead of tackling real threats like misogyny, toxic masculinity, and austerity.
“Trans women are not a threat to women. The patriarchy is.”
The Green Party stands with our trans community. Always.

Listen now
There's a topless dad wandering around this playground full of kids and I'm SOOOO tempted to yell "put a shirt on, you pervert! Think of the children!"
I mean, if female nipples, which actually serve a reproductive biological purpose, are "harmful to children," then so too must male nipples, right? Right??
It was incredible to feel so much energy and will to fight for change from everyone in the room. Women’s fundamental rights and freedoms are under attack, and as always @greenpartyni will be there on the frontlines to defend them.
The fight for gender justice is one part of our interconnected fight for social justice, racial justice, economic justice and climate justice. We are in this together!

Don't believe the PR lies. All mainstream social media platforms specifically discriminate against "people who look female."

6/6 It's time for radical, intersectional policymaking that centres the voices of marginalised women. Anything less betrays the Good Friday Agreement's promise of equality and indicts Northern Ireland's claims to progress.
5/6 Women hold just 37% of government public appointments and a mere 27% of 'Chair' positions within government public bodies. This lack of representation hinders progress on addressing intersectional challenges faced by women in Northern Ireland.
