The wife and I are huge #AnneRice fans and we love the #InterviewWithaVampire show.

What makes this version work is that it is told through Louis POV - the unreliable narrator - with the aging human journalist as the skeptical and cynical reader who feels that so much of Anne Rice's (ahem, Louis and Lestat) stories are full of bullshit. On AMC+ as well

P.S.: I also share the impression that the work of child performers has improved over the last couple of years. But maybe that's mostly down to scripts that no longer treat them as one-dimensional wise-cracking supporting characters that are either cute or are getting into peril by their own stupidity.

20 year old me: Feeling “spiritually disturbed” and guilty after watching #interviewwithavampire in the theatre. I felt guilty for watching it b/c I thought that was a movie “good Christians” should not watch.
Today me: Started the new series on AMC and thoroughly enjoying it.
